How to Use Outlook VBA Scripts

    Adding the Developer Tab to the Ribbon

    • 1). Click the "File" tab.

    • 2). Select "Options."

    • 3). Click "Customize the Ribbon."

    • 4). Click the "Choose commands from" dropdown box and select "Popular Commands."

    • 5). Click the "Customize the Ribbon" dropdown box and select the "Developer" checkbox.

    • 6). Click "OK."

    Enabling Macros

    • 1). Click the "File" tab.

    • 2). Select "Options."

    • 3). Select "Trust Center."

    • 4). Select "Trust Center Settings."

    • 5). Select "Macro Settings."

    • 6). Click "Notifications for all macros."

    • 7). Click "OK."

    • 8). Exit Microsoft Outlook and restart the program.

    Creating the Macro

    • 1). Select "Macros" from the "Developer" tab.

    • 2). Enter the macro's name in the "Macro Name" field.

    • 3). Click "Create."

    • 4). Enter your macro.

    • 5). Click "File" and select "Save Project1" or "Save VBAProject.OTM."

    Running the Macro

    • 1). Return to the main Microsoft Outlook window.

    • 2). Click "Macros" on the developer tab.

    • 3). Select your macro.
