- 1). Inspect the Samsung DVD. Look for the write speed. This should be printed on the top of the disc and will be a two-digit number followed by x, such as 16x or 24x. This will be the maximum write speed the CD can support, and Nero must be configured accordingly.
- 2). Insert the CD into the computer's CD drive.
- 3). Open Nero and open a new session. The "New Compilation" wizard that opens when the program does should let the user decide what type of disc and action they will perform. Select the type of burning task to perform.
- 4). Import the media as you normally would. Fill in all other burning data on the compilation screen.
- 5). Click the "Burn" tab on the far right of the compilation screen. Under the "Writing" heading, select the appropriate "Write Speed." This is the speed labeled on the disc, either 16x or 24x.
- 6). Click the main "Burn" button to burn the disc. The CD will now be burned at the appropriate selected speed.
