- 1). Download and install a copy of Check Flash to your hard drive. The program will create two shortcut icons when downloading, one to be placed on your desktop and the other in the "All Programs" section on your "Start" menu.
- 2). Insert the flash drive that you wish to test into the USB port on your computer or USB hub.
- 3). Open the program by double-clicking the desktop icon or go to "Start," "All Programs" and "Check Flash."
- 4). Select the testing flash drive on the Check Flash program menu.
- 5). Choose "As logical drive (NT-based systems only)." and select "Read Stability Test." Make certain the box next to "One Full Pass" is checked.
- 6). Select "Start!" to begin the flash drive test. Keep the flash drive attached to the USB port or USB hub during testing to prevent read errors.
- 7). Click "Finish" to close the program when Check Flash is done testing your flash drive.
