How to Upgrade a Garmin
- 1). Download and install WebUpdater to your computer from the Garmin website (see Resources).
- 2). Connect your Garmin unit to your computer with the USB cable that came packaged with the device.
- 3). Launch WebUpdater on your computer. WebUpdater automatically looks for any upgrades to your Garmin unit's software each time it is started.
- 4). Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm that you want to install any updates to give your Garmin unit an upgrade. WebUpdater downloads the update and installs it to your Garmin device for you.
- 5). Disconnect your Garmin unit from your computer when you see that the upgrade has been successfully installed.
