Drop-In Toilet Bowl Cleaner

• By far the most lazy-friendly method of cleaning a toilet is using drop-in tablets, such as Clorox Automatic Toilet Bowl tablets. Of course, the tablets work best if you start with a fresh, clean toilet. That means cleaning up the toilet the old fashioned way, before you can see results.
  
  After you clean up your toilet, open the tablet packet with scissors. Do not touch the tablet with your fingers; the bleach is corrosive. Read the first aid instructions for guidance if you do. Take the lid off your tank and flush. When the water level drops low, dump the tablet in on the side opposite where the valve is located. Only use this tablet in toilets that get daily use, otherwise the bleach will sit and create corrosive fumes.
  
  Now that your toilet's set up, you don't have to touch it again for two months or three months. The bowl will be sanitized for two months, while it will remain clean for three. If the fact that it won't be sanitized bothers you, replace it after two months. If it doesn't, you can wait for three months. That is with 10 flushes a day. If you have a large family and one toilet and it's summer vacation, then your tablet is not going to last as long. You can open up the tank and look inside to see if it's dissolved, or you may notice that the bleach smell is gone to alert you that it needs replacement.
  
  Do not use these tablets if you have toddlers, who are known for exploring toilet bowls, or pets, who will be harmed if they drink the water. If you have either of these, clean the bowls the old-fashioned way: with a brush.
  
  

Clip-on or Spray

• A product like Lysol Cling Clip-On 2 in 1 Toilet Bowl Deodorizer and Cleaner works by clipping the tablet onto the inside of the toilet bowl instead of the tank. This keeps the toilet bowl fresh for up to one month; no scrubbing is necessary, though you should first clean the toilet bowl with a toilet brush.
  
  If the idea of tablets isn't appealing, use a daily all-purpose spray, such as Lysol All-Purpose Cleaner with Bleach. Although it is recommended to begin by cleaning the toilet, for the most part a few shots of the product will take any water stains right away without scrubbing at all. Simply use this spray once a day to keep it clean.
  
  

Are There Any Organic Methods?

• You may be asking yourself if there is an organic way to clean your toilet without a brush. In this case, the old saying, "There's no such thing as a free lunch," holds true. Some organic methods require less scrubbing with a toilet brush; for example, you can pour Borax into your toilet and let it sit overnight to loosen the stains. But no organic method requires no toilet brush at all, unfortunately. Organic methods just aren't as heavy-duty as using a bleach tablet or spray.
