Zune Playlist Types

    Manual Playlist

    • The Zune software lets users create custom playlists made up of any audio files on their PCs. Zune users can choose from any of their audio files, put together a custom playlist, and then sync their Zune device to listen anywhere, anytime. Using the Zune software on your PC, you can manually select your favorite songs and albums to create a personalized soundtrack for any occasion. Once you create a playlist, you can organize your selections in any way you want. For example, if you are using a playlist for working out, you may want to select songs with a steady rhythm and then end with a fast, heart-pumping tune to push you to your limit.

    Autoplaylist

    • For users who do not want to take the time to select specific songs from their device, Zune has the option to create an Autoplaylist. An Autoplaylist is a collection of music selected through filters, such as including certain genres or excluding certain artists, assigned by the user. The result is a playlist that is both customized and random. Getting ready for a date or special evening? You can create an Autoplaylist with specific artists or genres--and excluding others--to set the mood.

    Marketplace Playlists

    • The Marketplace is the hub where all Zune music and videos is downloaded and shared. Each week, Zune editors and celebrity guests share their customized playlists in the Marketplace, and other Zune users are invited to download these playlists to expand their music collection. Just simply download a Marketplace Playlist, sync your Zune, and you can listen to your favorite celebrity's music choices anytime.
