Boonville, Missouri, is a small town in the middle of the Katy Trail, a 225-mile state park popular among hikers and campers. Parts of the Katy Trail are also on the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail and the coast-to-coast America Discovery Trail. Visitors to Boonville can also visit historic sites such as Thespian Hall and take part in the annual city Heritage Days, as well as fish, golf, swim and boat. There are several places in and around Boonville where RV travelers can stay, exercise or relax. - Bobber Lake Campground is a seasonal park open from April through October. The park's 42 RV spaces come with full utility hook-ups. Some sites are pull-throughs and can accommodate big rigs. There is also a dump station available at the campground. Bobber Lake Campground has shower facilities, pay phones, fire pits, picnic tables and a children's playground. Pets are welcome as long as they remain leashed. The park is close to shops, propane sales and laundry facilities. Rates for monthly RV sites at Black Oaks include electricity. The park also offers daily and weekly rates.

Cooper's Landing has two campgrounds, one adjacent to the Katy Trail and the other located between the trail and the Missouri River. Sites come with electrical service and the park also provides a dump station. The campground also has its own restaurant, serving home cooking such as hamburgers, onion rings and hot wings, and a boat dock, bait shop and fuel station.
