- 1). Open the "Control Panel" of your computer.
- 2). Click "System and Maintenance" and then select "Administrative Tools." Click "OK" to proceed.
- 3). Double-click "Computer Management" and then click "Continue."
- 4). Find "Disk Management" on the left side of the next window and double-click it.
- 5). Highlight the drive with the name you wish to change. Right-click this drive.
- 6). Select "Change Drive Letter and Paths" and click "Change."
- 7). Choose "Assign the Following Drive Letter" and select the letter you wish to use. Click "OK."
- 8). Confirm your desire to change the drive name by clicking "Yes" when the window appears.
- 9). Check to make sure the drive name appears as the new name on your computer.
