How to Dye Blonde Hair White

    • 1). Purchase a bleach-blond dye kit from your local drugstore. To achieve the results you're after, you may want to consider using an extra-bleach-blonde kit.

    • 2). Follow the instructions on how to mix and apply the hair dye. If you are doing an all-over dye, you do not have to worry about applying dye specifically to the roots just yet. To keep the heat on the dye, place a plastic bag over your hair.

    • 3). Leave the dye on no longer than 45 to 60 minutes. Set a timer so you'll know when to wash the dye out. Wash your hair in either the shower or the sink. If you have a sink with a retractable handle, that may be the easiest way to go.

    • 4). Apply conditioner to your hair after you have washed the dye out. This will help lessen the damage that hair dye does to your hair. Dry your hair. If your hair was a dark blond, you may need an additional kit to dye your hair again. Try to wait at least several days before dying it again.

    • 5). Use a toner on your hair to remove any yellowish tones that are left over. The toner should be the final step in achieving the desired white color. Consider using the toner every month to keep the yellow away.
