How to Repair a Panasonic TH-42PX60U

    • 1). Turn off the television if the power light on the front of the TV is continuously blinking. Unplug the power cable from the wall outlet and the rear of the television. Re-attach the plug to the back of the television until it clicks back into place. Try using a different wall outlet if the light continues to flash, and use a surge protector to protect the television from power spikes.

    • 2). Press the "Menu" button on the remote, and use the down directional button to scroll to the "Audio" button if the sound is not working. Press "OK" to select the audio mode, and scroll down to the speakers setting to verify it is set to "On." Note: set speakers to "Off" if external speakers are being used. Select the "HDMI1 in" or "HDMI2 in" if they are being used, and verify their setting is "Auto."

    • 3). Calibrate the Panasonic TH-42PX60U to improve the picture quality. Press "Menu" on the remote, and scroll to the "Picture" option. Press "OK" to open the "Picture Menu." Scroll to the second picture menu page, and adjust the "Color Temp" setting. Go back to the first picture menu page, and adjust the "Picture" and "Brightness" settings. Press "Exit" when done to save the changes and exit the menu.
