'Toy Story 3' DVD

This computer-animated film is the follow-up to Toy Story (1995) and Toy Story 2 (1999). The major characters are back, including Woody (voice of Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (voice of Tim Allen), Jessie (voice of Joan Cusack) and Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head (voices of Don Rickles and Estelle Harris). An important new character is Lots-o'-Huggin'-Bear — Lotso for short — voiced by Ned Beatty. This time around, Andy is 17 years old, and his toys, except for Woody, end up being donated to Sunnyside Daycare, where they are abused. Soon Woody sets out to rescue his old friends.More »

'Winnebago Man' DVD

This documentary is about Ben Steinbauer's search for and encounter with Jack Rebney, a man familiar to the millions of people who have viewed "Winnebago Man" on YouTube. The YouTube footage comes from an industrial video for recreational vehicles that Rebney shot back in the late 1980s. He swears a lot in the video, and it is hilarious. Steinbauer tracks down Rebney when he is in his mid-70s and living in a remote part of northern California. The former RV pitchman turns out to be a curmudgeonly old guy, but it all ends up at the Found Footage Festival in San Francisco.More »

'Ramona and Beezus' DVD


Adapted from the series of eight children's novels by Beverly Cleary, this gentle movie is about a pair of sisters growing up in Portland, Oregon. Ramona Quimby (newcomer Joey King) is nine years old, and her sister Beezus (Disney Channel's Selena Gomez) is a teenager. (Beezus is a nickname for Beatrice). Ramona's dad (John Corbett) gets laid off from his job, and she tries to help out, leading to lots of minor trouble. Other characters include Ramona's mom (Bridget Moynahan), her teacher (Sandra Oh) and her Aunt Bea (Gennifer Goodwin), who is courted by a man played by Josh Duhamel.More »

'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World' DVD

Michael Cera stars in this comedy based on a graphic novel series by Bryan Lee O'Malley. Set in an alternate reality version of Toronto, the story takes place in a fantasy world like those found in comic books and video games. The protagonist is Scott Pilgrim (Cera), a geeky 22-year-old bass guitarist for the band Sex Bob-omb. Scott is dating high school girl Knives Chau (Ellen Wong), when he meets and becomes obsessed with Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). However, he must defeat Ramona's seven evil exes — six males and one female — in stylized battles to the death.More »

'The Kids Are All Right' DVD

Annette Bening, Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo star in this critically acclaimed comedy that was cowritten and directed by Lisa Cholodenko (Laurel Canyon, High Art). Nic (Bening) and Jules (Moore) are a longtime lesbian couple, and Nic has an 18-year-old daughter, while Jules has a 15-year-old son. Both children were conceived via artificial insemination using the same sperm donor. The teenagers discover that their biological father was a man named Paul (Ruffalo), locate him and invite him to meet their two moms. This goes well at first, but eventually leads to complications.More »
