How to Make a Checkered Duct Tape Purse

    • 1). Take the first color of duct tape. Measure out 24 pieces, each 12 inches in length.

    • 2). Adhere two pieces of duct tape together, using the sticky sides. Continue until you have 12 strips.

    • 3). Repeat steps 1 and 2 with the second color of tape.

    • 4). Lay the 12 strips of the first color out flat vertically on your work surface. Lay the 12 strips of the second color on top of the first horizontally.

    • 5). Weave the second color of tape through the first in an under/over pattern. This will created the checkered look of the purse.

    • 6). Repeat steps 1 through 5 to create the back side of the checkered duct tape purse.

    • 7). Lay the front of the purse on top of the back so that all edges line up perfectly.

    • 8). Cut three 12-inch pieces of the first color of duct tape. Use these to adhere the front of the purse to the back by sticking one to the left side, the right side and the bottom of the front. Fold the tape over so it adheres to the back of the purse.

    • 9). Cut a 24-inch piece of first color, followed by a 22-inch piece of the second. Adhere these together using the sticky side of the tape, leaving 1 inch of uncovered adhesive at each end.

Adhere the strap to both sides of the purse by attaching the uncovered adhesive to the top inch of the purse.
