- 1). Locate the left and right speakers (they are labeled “Left” and “Right” on the back). Place the speakers in the right locations.
- 2). Find the speaker with the volume control knob and turn the knob all the way down. Check the power light on the smaller speaker to verify that it is off.
- 3). Plug the electrical speaker wire with the metal pins from the smaller speaker into the back of the larger speaker. Plug the electrical speaker wire from the larger speaker into the back of the computer at the speaker port with the speaker graphic or the word "speaker" next to the port.
- 4). Plug the power cord from the smaller speaker into the electrical outlet. Push the power button on the speaker and turn the volume up about ¼-turn.
- 5). Turn the computer on and verify the volume is enabled on the computer.
