How to Upgrade BIOS for a ZR1 V1.3206 3B06

    • 1). Navigate to Acer's main support website for downloads and system upgrades for their line of products. Click on "Select your location" and choose your region of the world.

    • 2). Click on "Notebook" on the following screen. Once the subsequent box appears on your screen, select your computer's product line and then its product model.

    • 3). Select your computer's operating system from the list presented next to the golden "Operating System" text in the center of the screen. Below that, click on "BIOS" and locate the most chronologically recent one under the "Date" column in the far left. Click on the button on the far left to begin your download and save it.

    • 4). Open the file you just saved containing your computer's updated BIOS. Extract the contents of this file into a separate folder and then open that folder. Inside, run "WinPhlash.exe." Click the "Browse" button to the right side of the "Specify new BIOS" file. A new screen will pop up allowing you to navigate to this current folder, although it will most likely open there by default. Select your BIOS file, which will be the only file present ending in extension of either .rom, .ro2, .wph, or .wp2. Press "Open" to confirm the selection. Then click on "Flash BIOS" to update the BIOS of your Acer ZR1 to the most recent version.
