How to Install the Hewlett Packard PSC1200 Series Without a Disk

    • 1). Visit the HP website homepage. In the search box, type "PSC1200." The search facility is not case sensitive, so "psc1200" is also acceptable. This will return your search results, which will appear on a fresh page.

    • 2). Locate your specific model number in the list. If you do not know the specific model number of your PSC1200 series, you will find it on the back or bottom of your printer. It may also be on the front of the printer in gray or black writing.

    • 3). Click on the model number in the list. When the page loads, look under the green "Quick Links" section for "Software and Driver Downloads." Wait for the page to load.

    • 4). Select your operating system from the drop-down menu. If you do not see your operating system, click the link just below and to the right of that box.

    • 5). Click the link in the list, titled "Driver -- Product Installation Software." This opens the details below it. You will see the link to "HP Officejet and PSC Full Feature Software and Driver." Click that title and you will be referred to the installation page for the file name.

    • 6). Click on the file named "rw2_021_w02_enu.exe." This is the name of the software driver that will install all of the features onto your computer without the use of a disk. You will be presented with a box asking if you wish to "run" or "save." If you choose to "run" the software, it will be installed directly onto your hard drive. If you choose "save," the file will be saved to the location of your choice on your hard drive. You can then return to it later, open the file and install it.
