How to Get Sticky Stuff Off Wallpaper

    • 1). Spray a liberal amount of water-displacing spray on the sticky stuff and let soak for two minutes. Wipe the sticky goo off the wallpaper with a damp paper towel. Dry the wallpaper with a cloth.

    • 2). Apply several drops of baby oil to a lint-free cloth and rub the sticky stuff. Continue rubbing until you've removed all traces of stickiness. Remove the baby oil residue by wiping the wallpaper with a damp paper towel.

    • 3). Wet a clean sponge with cool water. Wring out the excess moisture and sprinkle cornstarch on the damp sponge. Scrub the sticky stuff off the wallpaper with the cornstarch-covered sponge. Rinse the wallpaper clean with a damp cloth.

    • 4). Dampen a clean cloth or sponge with white vinegar and scrub the wallpaper gently. Continue with gentle scrubbing until the sticky stuff is gone. Wipe the wallpaper dry with a paper towel.
