Timer Play Instructions for a Marantz PMD325 CD Player

    • 1). Hook up the compatible external timer unit to your Marantz PMD325 CD Player. As timer brands differ, follow the manufacturer's directions for your specific brand of timer unit to hook it up to the player and set it for timer play.

    • 2). Set up your player for Timer Play. Push the "Menu" button on your player's remote or push in on the "Easy Jog" knob on the player.

    • 3). Press the "Track Skip Backward (<<|)" or "Track Skip Forward (>>|)" button, or turn the "Easy Jog" knob, to scroll through the menu options on the display screen until you see "Timer Play" displayed. Push "Enter" on the remote or push in on the "Easy Jog" knob to select the option.

    • 4). Turn the "Easy Jog" knob or press the "<<|" or ">>|" button until you see "Timer PLY:ON" on the display. Push "Enter" or push in on the "Easy Jog" knob to set the choice. If done correctly, "Timer" should light up on the display.

    • 5). Shut off your Marantz PMD325 CD player. Wait for your external timer to power on the unit at the pre-scheduled time. If set up correctly, the external timer unit should power on your player at a specific time and the player's "Auto Start" mode should activate, resulting in immediate automatic disc play.
