- 1). Examine the amplifier and the fan installation kit. Read the manufacturer's instructions for the fan you have chosen to use.
- 2). Position the fan flat atop the amplifier in the center of the unit. The fan should be positioned to suck air through the channels on the amplifier, and blow the air up away from the amplifier. Secure the fan in position. Some installation kits use clamps for holding the fan into position while others have a mounting bracket which can be bolted into place.
- 3). Connect the positive terminal of the fan to the positive terminal of the vehicle battery. Connect the negative terminal of the fan to the first terminal of the power switch. Connect the second terminal of the power switch to the negative ground of the vehicle. The power switch can also be replaced by a thermostat switch, which turns the fan on once the amplifier reaches a certain temperature.
