Programming CTCSS Privacy Codes

• 1). Choose the channel that you want to communicate on and then press the "Mode/Lock" button until the smaller numbers -- next to the channel number -- start to flash. If the display flashes "Off," it means that the DCS system is on. Press "Channel Up" to switch it off.
  
  
• 2). Press the "Channel Up" or "Channel Down" button to choose a code. Make sure it's the one you and your correspondent have decided on. The number appears on the display.
  
  
• 3). Press "Mode/Lock" again to store the setting and continue.
