How to Remove the Hose on a Dyson Vacuum for Pet Hair
- 1). Unplug the Dyson vacuum cleaner. Pull the yellow tab away from the vacuum cleaner. You will hear a snap or pop when it is fully extended. This is what holds the vacuum handle in place.
- 2). Pull up on the handle to remove the handle from the hose. Once the handle is removed, the hose will fall downward. You may wish to hold the hose upward to prevent dirt or dust from falling out of the hose.
- 3). Lift up on the yellow tab on the bottom of the hose. As you pull the tab up, the hose will detach from the vacuum base. Once the hose is removed from the vacuum base, it is now fully detached.
