How to Stop Updates for HP
- 1). Click on the Windows orb logo ("Start") on the taskbar at the bottom of the desktop to show the "Start" menu. Type or copy and paste the following program file path into the search box at the bottom of the menu: "c:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\Product Assistant\bin\hprbupdate.exe" (omit the quotation marks). Press the "Enter" key to open the "HP Product Assistant" tool.
- 2). Click on the "Preferences" link in the paragraph.
- 3). Click to select "Disable Solution Updates" under the "Update Interval Preferences" section.
- 4). Click on "Save," then close the HP Product Assistant.
