- 1). Force the frozen application to quit. Press and hold the "Sleep/Wake" button until a red slider appears at the top of the screen. Next, press and hold the "Home" button until the application quits. Once the frozen application stops running, the iPhone will resume normal operation.
- 2). Restart the iPhone. Press and hold the "Sleep/Wake" button, and then slide your finger from left to right on the red slider to turn off the iPhone. Next, press and hold the "Sleep/Wake" button until the Apple logo appears on the screen to turn the device back on. The iPhone will start and run normally.
- 3). Reset the iPhone. Press and hold the "Sleep/Wake" button and the "Home" buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. The iPhone will automatically reset which unfreezes the phone.
