How To Make Sure Your Teenager Stays Healthy?

The lifestyle of many teenagers leaves a lot to be desired.
Not that they are all drug addled, binge drinking coach potatoes but when it comes to looking after their health, it comes quite far down their list of priorities.
Many older people will be forgiven for looking at them and being shocked at their lack of respect for their bodies, be it through what they eat, how they look after their wellbeing and what else they put in their bodies.
If you are lucky enough to be responsible for a teenager and you are worried about their health, here is some quick advice to help you keep them on track.
Regular meals If you have no other way of stopping them from pollution their bodies, the best thing to do is at least offer them regular healthy meals.
This way they will always have the opportunity to get a good meal full of all the nutrients, vitamins and basic food groups their growing body needs.
What you need to careful of is trying to get them to eat too hard.
Often parents will shout and get angry if their teenager doesn't want to eat at the table or is not in for tea when they said they would.
If you make a fuss in this situation it will only make them more likely to defy your good intentions the next time.
By keeping calm and just leaving food for them to eat later, you will always give them the option to eat it later.
This way you know you have done your best and it gives them the responsibility to feed themselves which they will appreciate, even if they don't have to cook it themselves.
Supplements If you are still worried about their health and you want to do more about their diet, you can offer them natural supplements to take when they want.
Some of the best probiotics for your teenager can be bought easily and cheaply and are easy for them to grab, as and when.
Plus something like Triphala, which is good for their bowels, can be bought in capsule form for easy consumption.
Exercise All your hard work with their diet may go to waste though if they are not exercising.
By getting your children interested in and taking part in sport early, you will hopefully avoid them turning into couch potatoes in their teens.
If they do watch too much TV, you can always take it away.
