Some grow tomatoes in pots because they do not have enough room outside or just because they want to have the pleasure of watching the pretty plants grow in their own house.
Whatever the reason may be I'm going to give you a little plan that will get you started growing your own tomatoes inside your house.
- First you need to get a pot or container that has the proper drainage to grow your own tomatoes.
Anything will work as long as the drainage works.
Just ask at your local nursery and you will have no trouble finding the perfect container or pot.
- To grow tomatoes in pots you will need to get some soil.
Once again any planting soil will pretty much work for this.
- Next you will need to have an area set aside that gets at least 5 hours of sunlight per day.
This area should also be protected by the wind as this can damage smaller plants.
- Now you just need to get some fertilizer for tomatoes, once again ask your local nursery about this and they will steer you in the right direction.
That's it! You are now on your way to growing your own little indoor vegetable garden.
This is at its most basic form and you can perfect the process as you go.
