How to Add Ringtones to a Samsung SCH-930
- 1). Use the MP3 cutter to cut the preferred portion of the music to 30 seconds or less and save it to the specified folder. These snippets should also be saved as MP3. Open the snippet in Winamp. Stop the song playback and right click on it to select "Send to Format Converter." Choose the folder you want to save the file into and give it an appropriate name. The Encoding Format should be set to "WAV Output Options (WAV)." Check the buttons for "Write WAV header," and "Convert to format." The box below should be changed to "PCM 22,050 kHz 16-bit Stereo." Click "OK."
- 2). Right click the WAV file and rename it to MID. It will throw a prompt to ask if the file can be made unusable or you really want to change the file type, and that it could result in the file being unstable. Click "Yes."
- 3). Take the MicroSD card from the phone and connect it to the computer using the card reader. Copy the files into the desired folder. Insert the card back to the phone. To set the file as ringtone, it has to be moved to the phone memory. In the menu, go to "Tools/Memory/Card Memory/My Sounds." Select the option to move.
Go to Menu. Locate your file at "Get It Now!/Get Tunes & Tones/My Sounds."
Click "Options," and then "Set As" ringtone. This will make it the default ringtone. If you want to make a ringtone go with 1 particular contact or for as an alert, choose the options accordingly.
