How to Make a Paper Dog Tag
- 1). Cut a rectangle from the paper or cardboard. A good size is about 2 inches long and 1 inch wide, but you can make the tag smaller or larger depending on personal preference. Now cut around the corners of the rectangle to round off the edges.
- 2). Punch a hole in the top of the tag with a hole punch.
- 3). Paint the tag. You can use silver or gray paint to mimic the metal of a real dog tag, or get creative with any colors you choose.
- 4). Write the wearer's name on the dog tag using permanent marker. You can add any other details you like, but keep in mind that for safety reasons it is not a good idea to write personal information on the tag, such as addresses or Social Security numbers.
- 5). Measure a length of string to fit around the wearer's neck. Tie this string through the hole in the dog tag.
