1. The National Museum in Copenhagen

The National Museum houses an impressive collection of antiquities showcasing Denmark's remarkable history throughout the ages. Some of the more notable permanent installations include their 3,000 year old sun chariot and the Huldremose woman whose remains date back to the first century A.D.. Treasures from the stone age, the Viking era, the renaissance and the middle ages accompany these exhibits as well as a more modern Danish exhibit.


There is also an interactive children's museum, where younger visitors are encouraged to step into the exhibits.

2. The National Gallery of Denmark

The most current exhibit centers around Winter Sports and allows visitors to learn the science behind snowboarding, skiing, curling and other such sports. Past exhibits have centered around the human body, mathematics and inventions.

4. Rosenberg Castle

When one thinks of Denmark, images of royalty, history and grandeur come to mind. You too can experience elegance and luxury just as the royal Danes do with a visit to Rosenberg Castle. Built in the 1600's by a Scandinavian king, the castle holds regalia unlike any other as well as crown jewels and an exquisite art collection. 5. The Old Town Museum

The Old Town Museum presents Christmas in Den Gamle by, an incredible museum experience held in the beautiful outdoors. If you're lucky enough to be in Denmark in mid November you can attend this most unique exhibition. Vintage buildings are restored and opened, offering living scenes from the renaissance to the 19th century. Take in all the wonder that a Danish Christmas through the ages has to offer with cultural tradition, festive decorations, music and delicious aebelskivers from the Christmas market.
