Instructions on How to Make a Fleece Tie Blanket
- 1). Lay both pieces of fleece on a flat, clean surface. Lay one piece directly on top of the other and ensure that they are perfectly aligned. If the fleece has a printed pattern, lay the pieces back to back, so the print faces out on both sides.
- 2). Place the piece of paper on a corner of the fleece. With the paper aligned with the fleece's corner, cut around the square to make a four-inch notch in the fleece. Repeat this with the remaining three corners of the blanket. Keep in mind that you're cutting through both pieces of fleece.
- 3). Lay the yardstick along the edge of the fleece, four inches in (even with the corner notch). Using the yardstick as a guide, start cutting a four-inch fringe into both pieces of fleece. Space the fringe cuts 1 inch apart. Cut fringe on all four sides.
- 4). Starting at one corner, tie the fringe piece from the top fleece to its corresponding fringe on the bottom fleece. Work your way around the blanket. When you're finished, you'll have a double-thickness blanket with a knotted edge.
