How to Install Lock on Air Combat Simulator on Ubuntu
- 1). Click on the "System" menu, then again on the "Administration" menu, and finally on the icon that reads "Synaptic Package Manager." This will launch the Synaptic Package Manager, which is the tool used to install certain core software components into the Ubuntu operating system.
- 2). Type "WINE" into the search box. Check the box next to the result for WINE that appears on screen, and then click "Apply." This will install WINE on your Ubuntu computer.
- 3). Right click on the installation file for "Lock On: Air Combat Simulator."
- 4). Select "Open With..." and then "WINE." This will launch the game's installation file using not the Ubuntu operating system but the WINE software. This is the only way the installation executable file for "Lock On: Air Combat Simulator" will be able to run in Ubuntu.
- 5). Click "Next" to advance through the installation process for "Lock On: Air Combat Simulator." Continue to click on the "Next" button until it disappears and you can click "Finish."
