How to Repair a Toshiba Projector
- 1). Replace the bulb once it has passed its life expectancy. Unplug the power cord from the outlet and let the projector cool down for around one hour. Locate the lamp cover and remove it using a Philips screwdriver. Carefully take the lamp from the body of the projector by unscrewing the securing screws.
- 2). Use the handle, if available on the projector model, to gently pull the lamp out of the projector body. Place the new lamp into the projector body and secure it into place. Screw the lamp cover back into place. Plug the power cord back in, turn on the projector and reset the lamp timer.
- 3). Clean the lens and make sure the focus is set correctly if the picture is blurry. Adjust the focus ring on the projector lens to get the best picture. Move the projector to a better distance if the focus is still distorted. Enter the menu settings and adjust the sharpness of the projector.
- 4). Remove the projector from any enclosed area if it shuts off during use. Remove any blockage around the ventilation areas and use a vacuum to remove any dust around the cooling fan. Unplug the projector for around one hour to let it reset.
