- 1). Scrape up as much candle wax substance as possible with the dull side of a knife. Use only the dull side of the table knife to ensure the carpet fibers aren't damaged. Discard the red candle wax substance in the trash.

Turn a clothing iron onto the "Medium" heat setting and allow it to warm up. Move the iron, back and forth, over the red candle wax stain until all the wax substance is removed. Change to a clean piece of brown paper when the first one is soiled with red candle wax. - 4). Pour 2 cups warm water in a bowl, then mix in 5 drops blue hand dish washing liquid. Wet a white cloth, then squeeze out the excess liquid. Place the damp cloth over the red candle wax dye stain in the carpet.
- 5). Lower the iron's heat setting to "Low" and place it on top of the damp white cloth. Allow it to sit on the white cloth for five minutes to wick up the red candle wax dye from the carpet. Move to a clean portion of the white cloth and continue to use the iron and moisture in the cloth to wick up the remaining red candle wax dye from the carpet.
- 6). Cover the carpet, at the site of the red candle wax stain, with baking soda. Allow the baking soda to sit overnight and wick up the moisture from the dye-removal process as well as any greasy residue left by the candle wax. Vacuum the baking soda from the carpet in the morning.
