Baby Won"t Stop Crying - What to Do?

We know that the baby's crying is a form of communication because it does not yet have the ability to use language to let us know what it wants.
But there are times when baby just keeps on crying no matter what we do to try to understand its needs at that moment.
We go through all of the obvious needs such as to appease hunger, change diapers, sing, cradle, and walk, still nothing seems to help.
Perhaps diversion will help.
Diversion such as a toy or mobile that resembles a human or human like animal hung safely over the baby's crib, soft music, in some instances babies have been known to respond to the hum of a vacuum cleaner.
There have been some suggestions that baby's respond to white noise and stop crying.
A white noise machine can be purchased in any notions store or baby store.
It is an inexpensive machine that makes soft nature sounds such as running water, soft wind, rain, etc.
These sounds although not sounds the baby is familiar with will soothe the baby just because they are different.
If there is nothing physically wrong with the baby it will quiet down because it is curious about the sound.
Sometimes the sound of voices from the television, turned on low, will calm the baby as he hears human voices.
If you have tried everything you could think of and baby won't stop crying there may be a physical reason.
You should contact the doctor and make an appointment for the doctor to see the baby.
As we said earlier, a baby crying is trying to tell you something.
This is its only way of communicating to us what it is it needs or wants.
Although, if the baby is picked up every time it cries especially when there is nothing wrong then it is taught that crying will give it attention when it wants attention and this can continue until the child is a toddler.
When baby won't stop crying treat the incident wisely and calmly and without frustration.
