The Viking Ship Museum

The Viking Ship Museum is a stunning presentation of traditional Viking ship architecture. It boasts of having both of the world’s best maintained wooden ships that once sailed the seas in the 9th century. The Whaling Museum

Whaling is an integral part of Norwegian heritage and also the main focus of the Whaling Museum in Sandefjord. The Whaling museum is the only museum in Europe to specialize in whaling and its history down the ages. The museum exhibits animal and bird life from the arctic regions as well as the Antarctic. The Norwegian Folk Museum

One of the biggest open air museums in Europe, the Norwegian folk museum presents 155 traditional Norwegian houses and a 1000 year old Stave Church. The Munch Museum

Discover Norway’s famous master of expressionism painting, Edvard Munch, through the huge collection of his paintings housed here. Left to the custody of city of Oslo by Edvard himself, the collection comprises many of his drawings, paintings and graphical prints. The museum provides audio tours in both English and Norwegian and has a permanent documentary exhibition. The Lofotr Viking Museum

Walk through history in this 83 meter long longhouse that was probably home to Northern Norway’s most powerful Viking chieftains. This is the largest known Viking longhouse and the impressive recreation work has helped it remain intact and as authentic as it was all those years back. The unique Viking handicrafts and decorations have also been recreated to ensure that you experience the authentic appeal of Viking accommodation.
