Instruction for Making Beaded Lanyards

    • 1). Fold your string in half and hold the loose ends together with your fingers. Slip the looped end of the string through your key chain ring and pull it through, stopping halfway along the length of the string.

    • 2). Grasp the two loose ends of your string and pull them through the loop on the opposite end of the string. Tug tightly. This will affix the string to your key ring and leave two open-ended strings to work with.

    • 3). String half of your beads through one of the strings. If you want an intricate beading pattern, plan it out ahead of time. Leave about 1/2 inch of string at the end, and tie off with a bead stopper or alligator clip.

    • 4). String the second string with beads, using the first as a guide for even patterns. Leave 1/2 inch of string, this time bypassing the alligator clip or bead stopper.

    • 5). Remove the bead stopper from the first string and grasp both string ends. Tie them together tightly with several knots to finish the lanyard.
