How to Find an Air Leak in a Vinyl Ring Around Pool
- 1). Fill the dropper with the dark food coloring and place it on the edge of the pool.
- 2). Put on your swimsuit and goggles, and then manually check for air leaks around the pool. Walk slowly around the pool and place your fingers against the pool wall to see if you can feel suction on your fingers. That suction is a leak.
- 3). Dive under the water and graze the pool floor to feel for any suction as well.
- 4). Place a few drops of food coloring into one area of the pool, and then follow the food coloring underwater to see if it is drawn toward the source of the leak. Repeat this step around the perimeter of the pool until you find the leak.
