• It is important you maintain a weekly upkeep schedule to fight off algae and debris. Clean your pool filter according to manufacturer specifications and clear the pump and filtration baskets of dirt and debris. Use a testing kit to check the chemical levels in your pool and add chemicals as necessary. Skim the surface of the pool, vacuum the floor and scrub the sides. Troubleshooting Cloudy Water

• Sometimes a pool will start to develop cloudy water despite the fact that the filter and pump systems are working correctly. In these cases, your pool generally will need a shocking treatment to clear away chemical buildup that cannot be treated with your regular chlorine treatments.
