Hi, I'm Linda Hutchinson of L. Hutchinson Designs. Today, I'm going to show you how to decorate a tote bag with fabric flowers and buttons. I have a flower here that I made out of some fabric felt and adorned with a button. I have a tote bag, some scissors and some thread and a needle. I'm going to go inside the tote bag and stick my needle through the front, where I want the flower to go. I'm going to pull it through, not too hard because I don't want to pull the knot through the fabric. I'm going to put the needle through the hole of the button and back in the other hole of the button, placing my needle through the front. So, I'm pulling it through the inside. Now, I'm going to go and put the needle back through that first hole on the flower. It's a little tricky sometimes to find where that spot is, because you're kind of sticking it in blindly form the inside. And you just kind of feel your way around a little bit and there you go. And get it, put it through and just keep repeating the same thing, until it feels like it's on there securely. And then, you can just go ahead and on the back, just make a little loop. Put your needle through the loop and pull it to knot the thread, just trim off the excess with your scissors. And there you have a tote bag adorned with a fabric flower and button.
