Crafts Using Babyfood Jars

    Bath Salts

    • Pour epsom salts into a large bowl, then add 3 tbsp. of glycerin and 1 tbsp. perfume. Stir the mixture well. Add your choice of food coloring, but just a few drops to tint the mixture, then stir again. Pour the bath salts into baby food jars and seal tightly. Design a label for a personal touch.

    Ghost Luminaries

    • Use white acrylic paint to completely paint the outside of the baby food jar. Let the jar dry for a few hours or overnight. Use the black marker to draw ghost designs on the outside of the jar. Place a tea light candle inside the jar. Light the candle and place the luminaries on your porch or pathway to illuminate the night.

    Terrarium

    • Explore your yard or other outside area to find some small items like twigs, pebbles or small flowers. Spread the items out on a table with a few clusters of moss. Wet the moss and put it inside the jar lid. Arrange the other nature items on top of the moss and place the jar back onto the lid. Place the terrarium on a coffee table or desk to add to your decor.

    Christmas Glitter Candle Holder

    • Lay the baby food jar on wax paper. Use red and green glitter pens to draw Christmas designs like bells, Christmas trees or presents on the jar. Place glue around the outside of the lid. Carefully place a ribbon around the lid and tie into a bow. Find a small votive candle to put into the jar for a creative Christmas present.
