How to Make Slip Knots for a Leather Cord Bracelet
- 1). Cut a length of leather cord that is 1 1/2 times as long as necessary to make the size bracelet you want.
- 2). Add any beads you want on the bracelet before tying the slip knots. Once the knots are tied you won't be able to add anything onto the leather cord.
- 3). Lay the bracelet out on your work surface in a straight line.
- 4). Bring the right end of the leather cord to the left side of the cord. Tie the right end of the cord around the left half and tighten, keeping it just loose enough to allow the left side of the leather cord to slide through the knot. Tie another knot on top of the first.
- 5). Bring the left end of the leather cord to the right portion of the cord. Loop the left end around the right portion and tie a knot. Tighten this knot the same as the first. Then, tie another knot on top of it.
- 6). Trim the excess ends of the leather cord.
