How to Make a Cabana for My Beach Chair
- 1). Cut the fabric into four sheets that are 7 1/2-feet long. Fold the fabric 3 1/2 inches from the top to make a channel for the pipes to go through. Attach the fusible tape to one edge and iron to set the tape. Repeat for each length of fabric to make all four panels.
- 2). Cut two pieces of PVC into 7-foot lengths, leaving six 10-feet in length. Insert a 7-foot piece of PVC into one of the top T-shape connectors, then slide on one of the fabric panels. Insert one of the 10-foot sections into the bottom of the T-shape connector and slide on two fabric panels. These will be at a right angle from one another. Add another T-connector to the end of the 7-foot section, and slide the last fabric panel on. Add a 10-foot PVC pipe at a right angle from it. Repeat the rest of the way around until you have a rectangle frame with one section of the T-shaped connector pointing away from each corner.
- 3). Cut the last four PVC pipes to an 8-foot length. Insert the L-shape connectors into the available connection of the T-shape connectors with the open end of the "L" pointing down. Insert an 8-foot piece of PVC into each of the L-shape connectors to make the legs.
- 4). Cut four ABS pipes that are 16 inches in length. Measure from one end 12 inches and mark with the pencil. Wrap masking tape around the pipe even with the pencil mark. Dig four holes that are 12-inches deep, using the marked ABS pipe as a guide. Check the pipe is level and fill dirt around the pipe to steady. Repeat at each corner until all four ABS poles are buried at each corner.
- 5). Slide each of the 8-foot legs into the ABS pipes buried at each corner. Use the drill to add a self-tapping screw to each of the connections.
