How to Install a Shapefile Link
- 1). Open your Web page, where you want to distribute the link, in Notepad or another compatible coding editor. Locate the section of code where you want to insert the link.
- 2). Type the following code, replacing "http://mysite.com/myshapefile.shp" with the URL and file name of your shapefile:
<a href="/links/?u=http://mysite.com/myshapefile.shp">Download Me</a> - 3). Replace "Download Me" with the text you want to display as a link.
- 4). Save your Webpage.
