How to Clean Fast Set Swimming Pools

    • 1). Balance pool chemicals with a pH kit. Chlorine levels should be at 1.0ppm or parts per million. The pH level should be between 7.2 and 7.6. If the pH is below 7.2, add soda ash; if it is above 7.6, add either muriatic acid or sodium bisulfite. If your levels are good add clarifier and filter for 24 hours. Shock the pool before using it and when test strips show chemicals are way off.

    • 2). Filter your pool for between eight to ten hours each day. Change your pool's filter once every two to three weeks.

    • 3). Skim the surface of your pool daily and set a floating skimmer in your pool when it is not in use. Vacuum your quick set pool once weekly.

    • 4). Add algaecide as needed. Temporarily turn off the filter if you are having an algae problem. Allow the algae to settle and vacuum the algae from the pool floor and walls. After vacuuming turn the filter back on.
