BlueAnt Pairing Instructions

    Background

    • Up to eight different Bluetooth devices can be added to the Q1. When you store the ninth one, the oldest one is deleted and the process repeats for any additional after that. With the multipoint feature, two devices can be used at the same time. When you try to pair another device, the first one will be disconnected which you can reconnect once the other line has been finished with. It may reconnect automatically, but if not you have to manually reconnect it instead.

To find out if two phones are connected, use the voice command "Am I Connected." The response will depend on whether you have successfully connected one or two phones, if any. Before trying, check the manual to make sure that your model of Bluetooth has the multipoint feature added.

    Powering On

    • You have to pair the headset and the Bluetooth for you to create the audio connection. As soon as you turn on the headset it goes right into the pair mode. This makes it easy for you to start.

Locate and press the "MFB(3)" key on the phone and the "Pairing" mode pops up on your screen. The headset also vibrates due to the default mode. This can be changed later if desired.

    Pairing

    • With the headset in pairing mode, go into the Bluetooth menu on the phone. Switch the Bluetooth function into the "On" mode and use the search function. You can also use the discovery function depending on the model that you have. A list of Bluetooth devices will pop up on the screen. Scroll down until you find the correct device such as "V12 LCD." The phone will ask for a pass code. Enter "0000" and press the "OK" button. This should connect the two devices. Check the bottom of your screen for a headset icon.

If you have a model that requires you to manually connect after pairing, press the "MFB(3)" button or use the phone menu option. Select the "Paired Devices" option, then highlight the hearing device you are using, for example, the "V12 LCD." Select "Options" then press on "Connect." When you wish to turn it off, press the "MFB(3)" button again. Press the same button for an extended period of time until it says "On" to power it back up.
