How to Make a Scissor Holder Using a Potholder

    • 1). Lay the pot holder in front of you so that it looks like a diamond instead of a square. Plug your hot glue gun to warm up.

    • 2). Fold the left corner in to the center of the pot holder. Hold this in place while you fold the right corner in to meet the left corner in the center of the potholder.

    • 3). Apply a thin layer of hot glue or fabric adhesive along the edge of one side of the pot holder. Lay the opposite edge over the glue and hold in place while the glue dries. Your potholder should now look like a skinny diamond with a seam down the center of the pocket.

    • 4). Decorate the scissor holder after the glue has completely dried. Use your imagination when adding ribbon, glitter and buttons to your scissor holder.

    • 5). Attach a magnet to the back of your scissor holder if you wish to attach it to the refrigerator. Add a ribbon loop to the top of the scissor holder so that you can hang it on a nail.
