How to Make Money With Gardening With a Twist

If you are looking for a way to make some extra money then perhaps you don't have to go that far to look at what you could do to make yourself some extra coin.
Let's say for example you have a green thumb and you really enjoy gardening.
However you don't cherish the thought of going out and starting your own landscaping business.
So how about going out and gardening with a twist.
By this, I am referring to setting up gardens for people.
For example, how about balcony gardening.
There are many seniors and others who live in apartments but really don't know the first thing about a garden or container gardening and this may be just perfect niche for you.
Needless to say you're not going to be able to charge a ton of money for the service but be able to get paid for something that you really enjoy doing is a bonus and you will be surprised at just how fast this little income will start to add up.
You may find that it is such a great concept that you will start to pick up more customers by word-of-mouth.
What you need to do if you are interested in this type of concept is to sit down and do yourself a business plan.
What you have to decide is what type of planning and planting is entailed to do a balcony garden.
Then you would need to look at the cost and more than likely determine a setup cost for the supplies and materials for the garden.
You can take this a little further to be a year-round business by establishing and maintaining indoor gardens.
Everybody seems to love plants but there is not enough time to grow plants indoors especially in the winter months.
This could be something that you could really build into a lucrative business if you were to use your creativity and perhaps plan different types of theme gardens for indoors.
To give you an example, for individuals who like tropical plants you can set up some sort of tropical display.
Then you could let your imagination run wild.
You want to make enough money to make it worth your while but you don't want to overcharge to the point where you're not able to build enough business.
You could start with a setup cost and then go with a maintenance program.
From that point on you could even perhaps do package deals.
What you need to do is sit down and do a business plan.
