How to Polish Silver for Making Jewelry

- 1). Bowl 1 cup of water in a pan. Dilute 1 teaspoon of baking soda.
- 2). Cut a square of aluminum foil and place it in the bottom of the glass.
- 3). Set your silver pieces on top of the aluminum foil and pour the baking soda mixture into the glass. Leave for three minutes.
- 4). Scoop out each piece with a spoon and scrub with a toothbrush if necessary.
- 5). Pour the water into the colander, catching the pieces in the mesh and letting the water pour into a bowl or the sink.
- 6). Tip the colander onto a dry towel. Rub the pieces to dry them.
