How to Install a Sonnet Tempo Card
- 1). Turn off the computer. Remove the power cord from the power supply. Unplug all devices that are attached to the computer, such as the monitor, printer, speakers, etc.
- 2). Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws from the rear of the left side cover and remove the cover. Lay the computer on its right side so you are looking down into the computer.
- 3). Locate an available 4X, 8X, or 16X PCI-e slot. Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw from the port cover on the back of the computer case opposite the slot. Remove the cover.
- 4). Gently press the Sonnet Tempo card into the slot while lining up the mounting plate -- which is shaped like the port cover -- with the rear of the case. Secure the card with the Phillips screw that held in the port cover.
- 5). Stand the computer up. Replace the side cover and screws, plug in all the devices you unplugged, plug in the power cord and turn on the computer.
- 6). Load the software disk into your DVD drive. Follow the prompts to install the software. Restart your computer. Plug in your external SATA drives.
