• 1). Go to the mobile phone manufacturer's website and download the hardware driver for your specific phone model. After you have downloaded the driver, connect your cell phone to your data USB cable and connect the USB end of the cable to an available USB port on your Dell Latitude 600.
  
  
• 2). Wait for the "Found New Hardware Wizard" to open. Windows will ask if it can search for the appropriate driver for your mobile device. Select the "No, not this time" option and click on the "Next" button to proceed.
  
  
• 3). Select the "Install from a list or specific location" option, and then click the "Next" button to continue.
  
  
• 4). Select the "Modems" option and click on the "Next" button to continue.
  
  
• 5). Click on the "Have Disk" button to search for the driver you just downloaded for your phone. Select your specific driver and click on the "Next" button to continue. Click on the "Stop Installation" button.
  
  
• 6). Go to the "Start" menu, open "Control Panel," and then open "Network and Internet Connections." Click on the "Set up or change your connections," and then click on the "Connections" tab. Click the "Setup" button and wait for the connection wizard to open. Select the "Connect to the Internet" option and click on the "Next" button to continue.
  
  
• 7). Select the "Setup my connection manually" option, and then click the "Next" button to continue. Click on "Connect using a dial-up modem." Select your mobile device from a list and hit the "Next" button. Wait for the account information window to open.
  
  
• 8). Contact your mobile service provider for the appropriate account information specific to your carrier. Enter the appropriate information and hit the "Next" button to finish the setup process.
