      Stayton is a city in Marion County, Oregon, with a population of 7,319 as of July 2008. It is named after one of its first settlers, Drury Smith Stayton, who in 1870 built a sawmill here. Attractions in Stayton include some antique shops and the Stayton-Jordan Bridge, which sometimes is used for picnics and weddings. Although there no RV parks within Stayton, many can be found in nearby Salem and the surrounding areas.

The 195 level, tree-shaded sites can accommodate vehicles up to 70 feet long; 90 are pull-through sites and 144 have 50, 30 or 20 amp full hook-ups. TV and phone hook-ups also are available. Amenities include clean restrooms, laundry facilities, groceries, gas, propane and a dump station. No cabin or rental units are offered, but tent sites are available. This RV park has been a family-owned business since 1975.

    Premier RV Resort

    • Open all year round, the Premier RV resort in Salem is reported in Trip Advisor as having "wonderfully clean and warm restrooms and showers" and “an easy to navigate area, with neat, well laid out sites." This large park is located off Highway 22, west of Salem and just five miles from the city center. It has wide, easily-accessible sites with lawns and all-concrete pads. Social events are held every weekend, and there is a screening room where different movies are shown each evening. There is a park along a creek for walking dogs, far from the rigs.

    Hee Hee Illahee RV Resort

    • This RV resort, 18.5 miles and 22 minutes from Stayton is claimed to be “Salem’s only five-star luxury RV resort” according to the website. The park opened in the Williamette Valley in 2006, and has 139 paved sites with patios, 114 of which are pull-through and 25 back-in sites. Power in 30 or 50 amps is available, with free Wi-Fi Internet and cable television, a community room with full kitchen, family restrooms, showers and laundry, and 24-hour security. Water, cable, electricity and garbage are included in the rentals. Other park amenities include a seasonal pool, indoor Jacuzzi spa, barbecue grill, heated gazebo, horseshoe pits, playground, library and fitness room.
