2009 Kawaii-Kon – Gordon Rider and Jon J. Murakami
Hawaii cartoonist Jon J. Murakami flashes a 'shaka' sign with Gordon Chan as Murakami's original comic creation, Gordon Rider.
Inspired by tokusatsu (Japanese live action superhero) TV shows like Kamen Rider (Masked Rider) and Kikaida, Hawaii cartoonist Jon J. Murakami created his own homegrown satirical superhero, Gordon Rider. Gordon Rider is based on a real-life Gordon, Gordon Chan, who also cosplays the role, and stars in the upcoming live-action movie version of Gordon Rider.
